US travellers cheques are accepted almost everywhere as cash and can be readily replaced if lost or stolen, as can credit cards, which are another widespread form of currency. Visa, Mastercard and American Express are almost universally accepted, but don't take unnecessary bank or credit cards with you It is worthwhile separating the larger notes from the smaller ones in your wallet to avoid flashing all your money in public view. |
